The Stereo3D Toolbox™ suite of plugins marks a new milestone in stereoscopic 3D post-production on Mac OS X. Nine brand new powerful plugins for Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro & Motion make stereoscopic post-production easier than ever.
Precise stereoscopic alignment
The Geometry filter of Stereo3D Toolbox™ allows you to adjust convergence with horizontal image translation (HIT) and also eliminate vertical, rotational, keystone & focal length disparity using either pixel-based or scalable percentage sliders.
All adjustments can be keyframed with sub-pixel precision and "ease in/out" bezier curves allowing for complete creativity during depth grading.
The Geometry filter also features the "autoscale" function to eliminate cropped edges as well as stereoscopic scale, rotation and reframe tools that allow you to compose the shot any way you like.
Previews tools within the user interface
Many of Stereo3D Toolbox's filters feature active preview tools that immediately present valuable feedback like basic motion statistics, L/R difference, and the new anaglyph outlines preview. Circular Polarized 3D monitors are also now supported by the preview canvas in FCP, Motion & After Effects.
Parallax Guides are also provided with automatic calculations based on display size or the preferred custom parallax percentage. Native Pixel Parallax and other important information can also be superimposed on the output.
2D + Z-Depth conversion to stereo3D
New to the Stereo3D Toolbox™ suite is the Depth Map filter designed for converting 2D+Z-Depth Map CGI renders to stereoscopic 3D. The Depth Map filter can also be used to create custom rotoscoped depth maps in After Effects or Motion for 2D to 3D dimensionalization processes.
Multiple Stereoscopic formats
Stereo3D Toolbox™ supports the input and output most popular stereoscopic delivery formats like side-by-side, above-below, line-by-line (a.k.a. field-sequential), column interleaved, checkerboard, and tunable anaglyph modes (R/C, B/Y, G/M.) The Monitor Scaler filter is also provided to support most inexpensive non-HD resolution 3D monitors.
Faster rendering
Stereo3D Toolbox™ utilizes the power of Quartz and your Mac's graphics card to render. The whole version 2.0 suite has been optimized for faster rendering compared to version 1.1 (based on internal testing on 2.26Ghz Octo-Core Mac Pro with 512MB of VRAM.) Adobe After Effects CS3, CS4 & CS5, Final Cut Pro 6 or 7 and Motion 4 are all supported under Leopard or Snow Leopard.

Advanced stereoscopic mastering tools
The Stereo3D Toolbox™ suite includes two advanced professional stereoscopic mastering tools.
The Virtual Floating Window filter can be used to create and keyframe pixel-precise angled crops to minimize the effects of stereo window violations.
Ghost Toaster™ aids in the reduction of high-contrast crossover in circularly polarized display systems and monitors.
Fine control of image balance
Balance exposure and colour with the Image Balance filter. Controls are available for exposure, input and output levels, saturation, white balance preset, and individual RGB input/output levels. As with all other slider controls in the Stereo3D Toolbox™ suite of plugins, adjustments can be keyframed and animated over time. The Flip/Flop functions available in all of the Stereo3D Toolbox™ filters can be used with FCP's waveform monitor to aid in left/right comparisons.
Stereoscopic Text
The Stereo3D Text Generator provides a complete solution for creating and positioning flat text in 3D space. A variety of colour, font, size, outline and shadow controls compliment this powerful tool. Useful for main titles as well subtitles, the text generator's depth position slider can be animated to allow text to recede into the 3D scene or "float" off the screen.
